PRESS PLAY: an evening of conversation about music artists, queerness, gay inspiration and realization!

Hosted by TONi & Octavia, come listen to the nostalgic jams by people who molded our perspectives between teen angst and first crushes, revolutionaries who influenced our taste, and symbols of freedom who taught us to find our own paths.

Join us as we listen to some of the first pieces to express longing that aligned with queerness, accompanied by prompt questions as we pass the mic around, encouraging you to join in the conversation.

Doors at 5pm and our listening & conversation begins at 7pm. Fathom remains open after the event until 11pm.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $17 at the door.

Fathom is 21+ and requires physical or mobile ID for all to enter. Fathom is also ADA accessible with easy entry through our front and garage door.

Please note: refund requests may only be made 24h before the show (8/4, 7pm). No other refund requests will be honored.

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS

Toni B. (They/She) is a community centered event producer, organizer, and facilitator. They are the Community Events Coordinator for Write It Down! Collective, Community Outreach for Drip Social, Producer and Host of Press Play. Toni is dedicated to creating space for those who shy away from taking up space, and bringing their voices for the forefront.

Octavia K. (They/She) is a community facilitator and event organizer with a focus on cultivation connection within the Chicago queer community. Through intentional programming they provide platforms for individuals to share their experiences and amplify their voices.
